Dunkin’ had launched its first-ever online pop-up shop to help people get access to all its holiday gifts. The Dunkin’-ized gifts can be purchased only at the stores or pop stores and not from anywhere else. The products ranging from apparel like pajamas, joggers, holiday sweater, and one-piece to accessories including scrunchies, an electric guitar, peppermint-scented wrapping paper, a fanny pack, and a metal lunch box could be purchased online. The restaurant chain is found to make it easier and more fun for Dunkin’ lovers. The coffee and donut company plans to keep its online pop-up stores alive till the supplies are over. However, the company guarantees that it will be returning by 2020.
The company plans to provide a diverse range of holiday gifts that too in larger numbers at the participating Dunkin’ locations. The other items like Elf on the Shelf ornaments, peppermint stirrer, a new donut ornament, and peppermint-scented Munchkins lip balm will also be available for its customers. The online-only pop-ups are somewhat strange as the online-only, limited deals have been found to have earned a bad reputation as the deal sites come their way. The makers of footwear, cosmetics, apparel, watches, sunglasses, and others have their products promoted at online-only or limited-edition campaigns to make their presence felt. Thus, despite the existing challenges Dunkin’ plans to have its sales soaring in the upcoming years.
Parallelly, Dunkin’ has planned to eliminate the use of double cups made of foam as they are causing a lot of environmental issues. The polystyrene cups are going to be replaced completely by paper cups by next year. The company plans to take a sustainable measure looking at the escalating climatic crisis. New England is where the double cup trend began and thus, it is where the firm plans to end the double cup use on a primary basis.
